industry for his innovative
Car Wash fundraising event he
dubbed Wash usa. in March of 2008,
splash Car Wash was inducted into the
Connecticut business hall of fame/
Class of 2007 at a ceremony in hartford,
Connecticut. splash owners, Mark Curtis
and Chris fisher, were recognized for
their business accomplishments and
contributions to the communities they
serve.

by his community and by our industry
for his many accomplishments and

professional, dedicated to offering his
customers an exceptional car wash
experience. he is a committed and model
representative of our industry, sharing his
time and experience to serve the industry
in various roles, including his years of
service on the international Carwash
association board.
he is a true philanthropist, creating
and implementing programs that have
provided over $1 million to community
and charity programs. deserving of the
Washtrends trendsetter award, Mark
is at the forefront of the industry with
the effective use of electronic media to
promote the splash community. some
of the ways he does this is through
marketing programs targeted to various
generational audiences and solicitation
of customer feedback through an on-line
customer service survey. recognizing
the need to address the shift in the
communication styles of emerging
generations, Mark was one of the first
in the industry to deploy social media
tools such as facebook. over the years,
Mark has repeatedly pioneered effective
business practices for others to follow."
splash is the 11th largest car wash
organization in the country. over the
past 27 years, the business has grown to
nineteen locations, with more than 500
employees, and washes over one million
cars a year. Curtis said, "along with
splash's expansion, we will continue our
commitment to the communities that we
serve." to date, splash has donated over
one million dollars in cash and in-kind
services to many local organizations and
charities.
Curtis currently serves as a director on
the board of the international Car Wash
association.
